We carried out a screening study for a small potential offshore development in Morocco. The field contained heavy oil with a density of 9 – 15 °API and reserves of 30 million barrels. A key element of the study was to assess how development techniques used in North Sea fields might be adapted and used in this case. The study assessed a number of fixed platform and floating production solutions. The development and operating cost estimates were generated using our NETCO$TER Cost Evaluation Software.
